437 (Honors) Prerequisite – Italian II 5 per/wk – 5 credits
Full year course
This course will strengthen and build upon the conversational and comprehension skills already mastered. Greater emphasis will be placed upon reading and writing. Films, magazines, newspaper articles, short stories and cultural reading will be used as the basis for writing and oral exercises. Students will develop many insights regarding the comparison of one’s native language and Italian. Aspects of Italian history and contemporary civilization will focus on the diversity of the Italian people. Study at honors level will be accelerated.
