Spanish Club typically meets two times a month after school.  Students participate in social gatherings to celebrate Hispanic holidays and the Annual National Foreign Language Week.  Spanish Club hosts tapas parties, food and school supply donation drives, and dinners out at local hispanic restaurants.  In addition, Spanish club students enjoy participating in events that include the Latin, French and Italian clubs at Burlington High School, including the annual volleyball tournament, cake wars, ice cream socials, and picnics in the park.

Most importantly, the Spanish Club spearheads an annual Holiday Food Drive during the month of December.  Spanish students, along with the support of the French Club students, coordinate a food drive for the YWCA Fina House, a women and children’s shelter in Lawrence, Massachusetts.  Students collect food items, such as cereals, beans, juice, canned soups, apples, oranges, baking items, spices, and pasta.  Also, during the month of the December, Spanish Club members host a table at Burlington High School’s Annual Holiday Traditions event and run a “cake walk” event to raise money for field trips to local museums, such as the Harvard Peabody Museum, and for social club gatherings.
