On Monday, the World Language Department kicked off National Foreign Language Week celebrations with our annual brunch. It was a fabulous opportunity for our language students to socialize and get excited for the week of planned activities. BHS French teacher, Madame Feig, hid French flags throughout the hallways of BHS. The students who found the most flags received a prize t-shirt with the words “Red Devils!” written in French.
On Wednesday, we continued the celebration with our annual WL Volleyball Tournament. This year, the French students won the tournament and have been awarded the right to hang the WL department’s flag in Madame Feig’s classroom for the next year.
Of course, we ended the week of celebrations with our annual Cake Wars event. Students competed to see who could decorate the most creative cake that is a representation of the language they are learning.
